| Ode to my Draco Malfoy Interpretation... |

Contains: *Angst and spoilery excerpt from Half-Blood Prince.*
Notes/comments: So, I've always felt that Harry and Draco were sort of an experiment on nurture vs nature, as if I feel like the by being exact opposites, they were also the most similaer two characters. Draco was raised by Pureblood arseholes, and were borderline evil, but they loved him And I reckon they played with him and stimulated his mind - just for the wrong side. Harry was unloved, treated like rubbish, and grew to know how it feels to be treated like a non-being. Then, furthermore, Draco went to Slytherin and continued down that path, having no reason not to, and thrived. Harry went off to Gryffindor, and thrived as well. We all know the Malfoy's never really had it in them to be the real DeathEaters they were asked to be, because at the bitter end, what mattered was that her son was safe. I'm not a Harry/Draco shipper, but I totally get the reasoning and appeal.
Now, next part of the the notes: I have been re-watching Mad Men, and I cannot get over how much the character Peter Campbell is the 1960s ad-men version of Draco - in his petulance, his impatience, his various agreements to sign binding contracts/having babies without being sure he wants to or can. So, I finally have a clear Draco in my head, and I've taken liberties with the actor from Mad Men, and made him Draco Malfoy, confronting a weakened Dumbledore, intent to kill. (though, I do also like to look at it as his general overwhelmed-ness of the book, with the cabinet. Perhaps staring at nothing thinking about hoe terrified he is that he won't follow through on the task from Voldemort.

Prompt: #60: Draco's parents encourage him to invest money in an artist. He stumbles across Remus who has recently turned to painting professionally. Draco loves his work and becomes a benefactor. They spend more and more time together and start to fall for each other. But Draco worries Remus won't be interested in him because he isn't artistic and Remus worries that Draco will only think he's interested because of the money.

I came up with this idea for making shirt designs because I really wanted a shirt that showed off my love of Harry Potter in a cool, pretty way, but also my stance on gay rights.
I hope you guys remember my Dumbledore quote shirt? Under the cut:

So, I've made a bunch of new ones! Including two that aren't Harry Potter references (Alice in Wonderland & Monty Python) and a generic Hogwarts one (it's glows-in-the-dark!!) but no matter what, I'm giving 50% of the commission I earn to http://www.freedomtomarry.org/ **And as of today, I've earned $56, so that's $28 to Marriage Equality!! lol, it looks pathetic, but maybe it'll motivate buyers??? And the other half is just enough to cover this new shirt (so I could check the quality) (and have it, lol).

You may remember my post/poll asking for preferences (poll's still open), so I made these shirts – the yellow one is modern-y vector-y and comes with 3 interchangeable colours. The middle is also modern-y but the colours aren't interchangeable (except, of course, the shirt colour). The last is painted by me and a pixel graphic printed on the shirt:
  
It's come out really, really well - I ordered it and waited for it to arrive before I posted it to check the quality of the print on a darker material, and it's great!! I have some close-ups under the cut:

I've also made hoodies and randomly different colours available, and I can really make anything you want available - just let me know. I can also easily do any other quote or colour scheme.
